BORIBON toy shop got birth on the fall of 2004 at the initiative of a few mothers who realized that they don´t find some kind of certain toys for their children. So they discovered the need of establishing such a place for children. They were looking for their favorite toys from their childhood, but they couldn´t find them not in the next toy shop, nor in other shops – at last, in the attic of grandparents´ house. As the grandparents live far away and have a lot of grandchildren, these toys had to stay there in the old house, at the happiness of every grandchild who came in holiday.

The children were extremely unhappy at the end of each holiday, when they had to return home without the wonderful toys they got at their grandparents´ place, made from wood, linen and silk. These toys had soul, able to tell stories at bedtime and even able to get life late in the night, after the children fall asleep. These toys could be seen very rarely, as the toys went still as soon as they realized that someone is watching them. So the children had to close their eyes very well, leaving a tiny space between their eyelash in order to peep at the moving, living toys.

These were magical days and nights at grandparents´ house, filled with fairy tales and fantasy, due to these special, soulful toys.

That´s why good toys have a special place in our children´s life. Those children who have quality toys to play with, out of natural materials, they will arrive adults who appreciate nature, environment, aesthetics and good taste. Soulful toys are made from natural materials, with soul - as we, people are.

From November 2004, since BORIBON exists, we found out that our customers are more and more open and thirsty for the products we offer, as they are close to human soul.

This leads us to continue being very selective with our products. Toys and gifts offered by us are all made of wood, natural fabrics, clay, wool, hay and branches - most of them being handmade, so they keep a tiny part from the soul of their master.

From 2008 we became exclusive importer in Romania and distributor of I´m Toy, Thailand. These are multifunctional toys from rubber tree and textiles, for every age: from birth till adulthood.

Besides the products from abroad (Hungary, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Letvia, China, India, Thailand, the Philippines), we search for local handcrafts and toys, and we promote them as well.
